Age 74 of Wyoming
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in the company of his family and loved ones on July 29th, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his father (Meak Pak) and brother, Lon Meak. Survived by his wife, Sovann Chhoy; children; Phiny (Born), Phinin (Andy), Phinan (Vith), Mike, and Sopheap; grandchildren; Sami (Cody), Michelle, Austin, Justin, Brandon, Nathan, Mya (Kevin), Kristina, Isaac and Evan; great grandson; Kingston, Siblings; Kimleang (Yoeuth), Chhourng (Vanthy), Seoum and mother; Leng Lap.
Ly immigrated from Cambodia to the United States in 1984 and first lived in Illinois. He moved between Minnesota and Florida over the next few years before making Minnesota his permanent home in 1991.
Ly retired at the age of 55 after working with Mixon, Inc. doing assembly work making batteries. His retirement was filled with time with family and friends as he dedicated his days to caring for his many beloved grandchildren, spending time with friends, and relaxing on the couch enjoying his favorite Khmer programs on YouTube.
Ly has been known for his abundance of care, generosity and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Memorial services will be held on August 4th, 2022 at 10am at Sandberg Funeral Home; 2593 7th Ave E, North St Paul, MN 55109.
The Seven Day Wake will be held the following Saturday, August 6th, 2022 at 10am at Watt Munisotaram; 2925 220th St. E, Hampton, MN 55031.
