Eugene “Gene” Larson from Baudette, MN went to heaven peacefully on January 15, 2023 at the age of 90.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Carl “Kelly” & Hilda (Olson) Larson; siblings, Clarence, Arnold, Leonard, & Gerald; and son, Steven Larson.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of almost 45 years, Sandy; children, Michael (Lynn), Wendy (David) Johnson, David (Karla) Larson, and Kimberly (Gregory) Rogers; daughter-in-law, Sonia; siblings, Eunice Hadlich and Jeanette (Delbert) Block; several nieces and nephews; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gene graduated from Baudette High School in 1950 and then moved to the twin cities where he worked at Scott Atwater Outboard Motor.
Gene honorably served his country on active duty in the Korean War from August 19, 1952 until July 28, 1954. He was honorably discharged from the armed forces of the United States of America on July 31, 1960.
Gene owned and operated the Uptowner on Grand Avenue for 14 years. His hashbrown recipe is still used today!
Gene enjoyed spending time with friends and family, studying and teaching the Bible, reading, traveling, hunting, fishing, and watching sports.
Gene will be forever missed.
