Obituary of Reuben Larson

Age 92 Passed peacefully at home, Saturday, September 18, 2021. Reuben was born July 27, 1929 at the Larson family farm in Princeton, Minnesota. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Esther Larson; siblings, Robert, David, Lloyd, and Marlene Larson; survived by beloved wife of 68 years, Geraldine (Dellwo); daughters, Susan (Mark) Neubauer, Kathryn Olmstead, Jean Larson (Tim Day); grandchildren, Ara Schmidt, Tresse Roby (Chris), Erik, Alison and Brita Olmstead; great grandchildren, Wren, Kaj, and Freyja Schmidt. Also, Brian Olmstead and Michael Schmidt. He was a graduate of Cambridge High School and St. Cloud State Teachers College; US Naval Officer Veteran; 39-year career at 3M; Young Life adult leader and benefactor for many years; loving husband to Gerry and devoted father to his daughters; active and playful grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed every day. Caring for his family farm was his joy till the end; avid sailor, bibliophile and never met a meal and dinner companionship he didn't delight in! Private burial, immediate family only, memorials to Hope Church, Richfield, MN, Young Life, or donor's choice.
