Obituary of Lorraine Louise Jungbauer

Born September 3, 1922

Died November 2, 2021

Age 99. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and devout Catholic. Lorraine’s formative years were during The Depression, and she learned hard work and personal sacrifice. She attended St Bernard’s grade school and Washington High School. Lorraine loved her large family and was a pillar at St Jude of the Lake parish since 1950. Preceded in death by husband John J. Jungbauer (2001); daughter Ruth Ann (2018); parents Henry J Welsch and Edith (Landherr) Welsch; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Survived by sisters Marie Zech, Katherine Puchleitner and Ruth Weyandt; 10 children, Jack Jungbauer (Jeanne), Mary Helf (David), Bill Jungbauer (Janet), Lou Jungbauer (Lori), Joe Jungbauer (Janine), Jerry Jungbauer (Marie), Lorri Jungbauer, Ron Jungbauer (Colleen), Jim Jungbauer (Molly), Walter Jungbauer (Amy); 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the assisted living staff at St Andrew’s Village and HealthPartners Hospice for the kind and wonderful care they gave Lorraine. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St Jude of the Lake School or Presbyterian Homes Foundation Employee Appreciation Fund. Visitation Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 4pm to 8 pm at Sandberg Mortuary, 2593 East 7th Ave., North St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am on Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Jude of the Lake Church, 700 Mahtomedi Ave., Mahtomedi with Visitation starting at 10am.
