Trombley, Sister Agnes, OSB  

Age 92, of St. Paul’s Monastery died on December 18, 2021, at the Monastery, having lived and ministered as a Benedictine Sister for 70 years. After her first vows in 1951, Sister Agnes taught at Maternity of Mary, St. Paul; St. Bernard’s, St. Paul; St. Boniface, St. Bonifacius (Principal), and St. Anne’s, Minneapolis. She also served as principal at St. Boniface in Hastings and taught religion at Archbishop Murray Memorial High School (Hill-Murray), Maplewood.  She served in pastoral ministry at St. Raphael’s in Crystal, MN and at St. Therese Home of New Hope. Sister Agnes served as Community Representative to the Benedictine Associate Ministry. She is survived by her brother, Philip; sister, Lee Michnowski; many nieces and nephews; her Benedictine Sisters, Oblates, Associates of St. Paul’s Monastery, and dear friend, Pat Swanke. Visitation 4-6 pm  Wednesday, December 22 at Sandberg Mortuary, North St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed Thursday, December 23 at 11 am at St. Paul’s Monastery. Due to the pandemic, we are not able to accommodate guests. Interment at Monastery Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Paul’s Monastery.
