Obituary of Harley O'Dean Bruun

Bruun, Harley, age 90, died February 22, 2022 at his home in N. St. Paul, MN surrounded by family.  He was born July 9, 1931 in rural Climax, MN to Frederick and Clarice (Grove) Bruun.  He married Mary Lou Bergerson in Eldred, MN on April 21, 1951.  Harley managed grain elevators in Minnesota and North Dakota.  He enjoyed the outdoors fishing and camping.  Harley and Mary Lou spent retirement living and traveling full time in their camper.  He is survived by his children, Mark (Mary) Bruun of Braddock, ND, Doreen (Dick) Evenson of Gillette, WY and Greg (Nita) Bruun of Oakdale, MN; 8 grandchildren, Matt Bruun, Luke Bruun, Dusty Evenson, Michelle (Bruun) Ross, Robin Evenson, Trisha (Evenson) Pownall, Eric Bruun and Nathan Bruun; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Bruun and Shirley Ann Starner.  He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Craig; his parents; brothers, Kermit and Gerald; and 2 step great-great-grandchildren.  A service will be held at Sand Hill Lutheran Church in rural Climax, MN Saturday May 28, 2022.
