Obituary of Tucker Joseph Rautio
Rautio,
Tucker J.
Age 18, of Lake Elmo, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on March 12, 2022.
Preceded in death by grandpa, Jack and grandma, Jolyne. Survived by parents, Lance & Patti (Hardenbrook) Rautio; grandma, Nina Hardenbrook; grandpa, Clarence Rautio, Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many, many friends.
Tucker had a deep love of the outdoors and was a profound fisherman. He enjoyed many vacations over the years with his parents and grandparents to Florida, Colorado, Tennessee, and on cruises. He also enjoyed many trips to Woodland Resort in Devil’s Lake with maria and Kevin and their family catching his limit, playing with Carter and Diggs, and enjoying lake life with the Woodland family. He loved spending time with Grumpy (Grandpa Jack) fishing and learning about hunting and life, and with Grandma Nina having tea, doing scratch offs, or just hanging out.
Tucker also loved his furry friends, Smokey & Bandit, and spent the past 13 years with them playing with toys, making them into blanket “purritos”, chasing them back into the house when they got outside, or de-furring their fine white hair from his dark clothes (which was not his favorite)!
He spent countless hours with his friends, fishing on too many lakes and rivers to count, and snowmobiling trips in Minnesota, Michigan, and Colorado. There were also many hilarious and memorable times they spent in the shop at their home, working on trucks, cars, the boat, snowmobiles, or grilling up burgers and pizzas.
Tucker attended Tartan high School, played soccer for Oakdale Athletic Association until 8th grade, and then was a member of MN SATT (Student Angler Tournament Trail High School Fishing). He got the chance to go to the High School Fishing Nationals in Alabama, and was very proud to become friends and fish with Seth Feider, as well as many other Bassmaster Elites. He met many, many wonderful classmates, teachers, and teammates.
We will all have many wonderful memories of our times with Tucker, which will help to ease the pain in the years to come. We want to thank our family, friends, and co-workers for all of the support since his passing through visits, funny stories, and donations of food, time, etc. We could not get through this without you!
Rest in peace, Tucker. We love you to the moon and back, Buddy!
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Church of St. Peter (2600 N. Margaret St., No. St. Paul) with visitation starting at 10 AM.
