Age 91, of St. Paul’s Monastery died on June 29, 2022, at the Monastery, having lived and ministered as a Benedictine Sister for 71 years. After her first vows in 1950, Sister Rosemary ministered at St. Joseph’s Home for Children, Minneapolis; taught at Visitation, Minneapolis; St. Bernard’s, St. Paul; Archbishop Murray Memorial High School, Maplewood; Stanford University, Arizona State University, Carleton and St. Olaf Colleges, Northfield. Sister Rosemary served as Prioress of St Paul’s Monastery from 1984-1992, President of the Conference of Benedictine Prioresses and President of the American Benedictine Academy. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, her Benedictine Sisters, Oblates, Associates of St. Paul’s Monastery. Visitation 4-6 pm, Tuesday, July 5 at Sandberg Mortuary, North St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s Monastery will be livestreamed Wednesday, July 6 at 10:30 am. Due to the pandemic, we are not able to accommodate guests. Interment at Monastery Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Paul’s Monastery.
