Obituary of Donald P. Vickery

Age 83 of North St. Paul 

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. Peacefully passed on August 24, 2022. Born in St. Paul on March 17, 1939 to Elmer and Christine (Zens). Preceded in death by his parents and sister Ruth Drexl. Survived by sister Mary Johnson of St Paul. Proud veteran of the US Army. Worked as a forklift driver for 42 years at the same warehouse in Fridley. Married to the love of his life Maria (Razidlo) for 58 years. Together they raised 4 children–Joseph (Deborah), Brenda (Paul) Schiller, Daniel (Heather), and Molly, in their North St. Paul home where they resided for 55 years. Lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of North St. Paul. Dear friend to Norris Edwards. Retired since 2001, he loved cooking, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren – Kyle (Gabrielle), Michael, Anna, Hunter and Logan. 

Celebration of Life 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday Aug. 30 at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. Seventh Ave., North St. Paul.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 31 at the Church of St. Peter, 2600 N. Margaret St., North St. Paul (visitation 10:00 – 11:00 AM at church). In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
