Obituary of Lee-Anna Elizabeth Raverty

Lee-Anna Raverty, age 74, passed away on September 13, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born in Saint Paul, where she lived for most of her life and attended Johnson High School and the University of Minnesota. 

Married to the love of her life, Mike in 1968; Lee-Anna spent 54 years of marriage building a beautiful family filled with love and friendship.  Lee-Anna is survived by her husband, Mike; three sons, Keenan (Denise), Jon (Angie), and Mike (Susan); 8 grandchildren, Jack, Maggie, Rowan, Maddie, Erin, Molly, Mary and Conall; and sisters, Cheryl and Debbie; as well as many friends.

She is remembered as an avid lover of birds, wildlife, and spending time at the Minnesota Zoo (especially with her grandchildren).  She also loved road trips and visiting the North Shore of Lake Superior.  While Lee-Anna loved and celebrated many holidays with her family, Christmas was especially cherished.  Her family will continue to hold traditions in her memory each December.

Lee-Anna dedicated her working career to the Teamsters Local 503, where she spent over 25 years working as a health plan administrator and touched the lives of many members.

She will be missed for her love, generosity, warmth, laughter, and hospitality (especially her “homemade” cookies).  Please join us for a Memorial Gathering from 5-8pm on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Sandberg Funeral Home with a reflection and prayer service to be held around 7:15pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Minnesota Zoo.
