Obituary and Celebration of Life for Margie Booth

Margarita “Margie” Escueta Booth was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world surrounded by those she loved dear on November 5, 2022 at age 63.

Margie was born to Rosauro and Norma on May 10, 1959 in the Philippine Islands. She spent her childhood and young adulthood surrounded by her very large family and extended family. After graduating from high school and college she pursued a career as a Customs Examiner. She later met her husband, Jan Booth, a staff sergeant with the United States Air Force. Together, they moved to the United States. Jan and Margie were married for 33 years and raised their blended family of four children, Richie, Roy, Robby, and Mae.

Margie continued her professional career in the United States as a Credential Analyst for Thomson Reuters where she served for over 30 years. She later retired to spend more time with Jan.

Margie battled with her health for 24 years. She was diagnosed with Lupus in 1998. She was then diagnosed with Leukemia in 2010, but was able to get a bone marrow transplant in 2012. During these tough times in her health, Margie was an advocate for the Lupus Foundation and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as well as volunteered her time with Habitat for Humanity to help those in need.

Margie loved spending time with her family. Specially cooking up a storm in the kitchen with her mom, sister, daughter and nephews. She enjoyed playing board games and watching movies. She was well known for her service and participation with Guardian Angels Church and their annual Fall Festival.

She is survived by her husband Jan Booth. Her children, Richie (Jackie) Booth, Roy (Kris Beam) Booth, Robby (Chris) Booth, and Mae (Landon) Haley. Her grandchildren, Jenna Booth, Kelly Booth, DJ Booth, and Thomas Haley. Her siblings, Jackie Booth, Sharon Nagallo, Carlos Nagallo, and Noel Nagallo. And the many special nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, family and friends near and far.

A Celebration of Life is schedule for 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Guardian Angels Church. There will be a visitation starting at 10:00 am and a luncheon will follow the service.
