Obituary of LaVonne Opal Kubicka

LaVonne Opal Kubicka, age 96 of Newport, MN, was born to eternal life on Thursday, December 15th, 2023. LaVonne was born on December 2nd 1926 to James and Ida Coyle.  She was united in Marriage to John Kubicka (1946).  He preceded her in death in 2001.  

Born in the depression era, LaVonne entered the work force at the ripe old age of 16, never graduating from high school.  While she was married she was a caring and loving stay at home mom. When she went back to work she was a nurses aide. She was a loving wife, caring mother, gracious friend and wonderful auntie, great aunt and cousin.  

LaVonne is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Kubicka; granddaughter, JaNae (Adam) Westrich; three great grandchildren, Verity, Felicity, and Seth; and daughter-in-law, Lona Ray.  She was preceded death by her husband, John; her son, John; her parents; and all her siblings.  

Her celebration of life will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Sandberg Funeral Home (2593 E. 7th Avenue, North Saint Paul) with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Mahtomedi, MN.
