Obituary of Patricia Udelhofen

Patricia “Pat” Udelhofen, age 82, of Mahtomedi, MN, formally of Perham and North St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023. 

Pat was born in Kittson County, MN, on August 1, 1940, to the late Odd and Fidessa Farbo.  She graduated from high school in Greenbush, MN and shortly after moved to St. Paul, MN.  She started her career in 1959 at St. Paul Companies (now Travelers Insurance) where she worked until she retired in 1992.  Pat married her soulmate and the love of her life, Ray Udelhofen, on February 2, 1963.  Pat enjoyed country music, murder mysteries and small-town newspapers.  Pat has been involved in various service organizations and volunteered her time; Boy Scouts Den Mother, Editor of the St. Paul Companies retiree newsletter, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Lutheran Social Services, Perham Hospital Home and Gift Shop, Lions Club and Degree of Honor.   

Pat is survived by her two sons, Phillip (Deb) of Cottage Grove, MN and Bill (Marla) of Mahtomedi, MN; three grandchildren, Kelsie and Rachel of Cottage Grove and Blake of Mahtomedi; brother, Richard (Darlene) Farbo; and sister, Eileen Farbo; brother-in-law, David Burkel, sister-in-law, Della (Lee) Fenno; and by many nieces, nephews and friends.   

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray; father, Odd; mother, Fidessa; brother, Bill; sisters, Dessie (Bill) Parks, Kay (Lowell) Anderson, Gaye (Richard) Phillips, and Dinah Burkel; nieces, Tina, Marion and Debbie; and nephews, Mark and David.   

Visitation Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Sandberg Funeral Home (2593 E. 7th Av., North Saint Paul, MN).  Memorial Service Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home.  Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Mahtomedi.  In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations can be made to St. Therese at St. Odilia.
