Age 84, of Oakdale, formerly of East St. Paul, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 23, 2023. John was an Air Force Veteran, worked at 3M for 36 years, and enjoyed spending time with family at the cabin on Lake Osakis. Preceded in death by parents, John & Edith, and brother, Mike. Survived by wife of 66 years, Judy (Langan); children, Mike (Roxy), Mary (Tony) Pontrelli, Dan (Theresa), Dave (Kim), and Mark (Joan); grandchildren, Joe (Kristin), Jim (Erica), Julie (Taylor), Katie (Brandon), Derek, Tyler, Dalton (Kelly), Kelsie, Jaimee (Jesse), Karlee, Brooke, & Paige; great-grandchildren, Elaina, Lucia, Murray, Bennett, Remy, Lewis, Owen, Archie, Marco, Cecilia, Lyla, & Chase; sisters, Gloria, Judy, Lorraine, & Connie; extended families, Schommers, Hoffmans, Langans, & Whites; other relatives, & friends. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Transfiguration Catholic Church (6133 15th St N, Oakdale) with visitation starting at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Caring & Sharing Hands or the American Heart Association.
