Amalia “Molly” Flipp (Bovy)
Passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023. Born May 11, 1929, in Cologne, MN, she was the oldest of five children and shouldered many responsibilities on the family farm. She milked cows and drove the horse teams in the fields, as well as helping with household chores for cooking and cleaning. Molly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Christian and Crescentia; brothers, Dennis and Kenneth; and sister, Sr. Delores; and is survived by her sister, Delphine Good.
Molly married Robert Flipp on July 18, 1953, and was his loving and dedicated wife of 54 years. They had 7 children, Robert (Jan), Russell (Jeneane), Richard (Terri), Barbara Flanders (Chuck), Ronald (Mary), Melissa Schroeder (Mike), and Roger (Lisa); 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Devoted to her family, Molly loved spending time with them, patiently sharing her extraordinary cooking, baking, sewing, and craft-making skills and thereby instilling a multigenerational legacy. Her hands were always busy making something.
