Gumatz, Daniel John Gerald

Age 48 of Oakdale, MN, passed away on May 23, 2023.

"Dan the Man" loved: Jesus, Kiwi, family, life and all the people in it. He loved music, dancing, serving God's people everywhere, in church, with Mission Jamaica, his jobs with Merrick Inc. and helping in the community. Dan excelled at learning, cooking, eating, walking in the rain, making sure that mom's gas tank was full and reminding us that he had "a little bit of autism" with fingers pinched almost closed and his eyes smiling. Dan helped, laughed, cried, joked, giggled, whistled and, when he smiled, his eyes sparkled with his joy of Jesus down in his heart.

Dan is preceded in death by grandparents, Margaret & Sherman Casselton and John & Mary Gumatz, and many loved ones.

He is survived by sister, Barb; mom and stepdad, Pattianne & Greg Demaray; dad, Bob Gumatz; sister, Becky; brother, Jeff; and step brother, Bill Halfrich.

Please join us to Celebrate Dan's Life and mourn our loss on Friday, June 2, 2023 at ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Rd., Mahtomedi, MN, 55115 at 11 AM (visitation 10 AM- 11AM) with luncheon to follow.
