Preceded in death by her husband Robert. Survived by daughters Jan, Lori (Michael) Bonine, son Tom (Michelle), granddaughters Ashley (Tom), Briana, Cortney (Matt), Nicole (Dan) and great grandson Dylan and many special friends.
Dixie was a dedicated worshipper and had a deep faith in God. She and Bob both enjoyed a special belonging with many at North Presbyterian since 1965. Since Bobs death in 1989 she continued that bond and served in many capacities including serving as a Deacon 2 times, Presbyterian Women’s Board and Circles, Catering Group, Mariners, A to Z Group, Nursery, Innovation newsletter and communion prep and serving. She also volunteered for many years at the Minnesota Food Shelf.
She loved her monthly birthday girl’s group, getting together with her Rosewood Ave friends, playing cards and making cards.
Many fond memories of road trips with her daughters to Galena IL, Pella IA, Spring Green WI, Door County, Brainerd, MN, Alma WI, Mineral Point WI, and numerous trips to the North Shore. The family also made a number of trips back to her hometown, Carthage, MO.
Dixie was born in Ponca City Oklahoma but lived most of her childhood in Carthage, MO.
Dixie was a special lady. Our time with her here on earth was precious. She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to North Presbyterian Church or the Minnesota Food Shelf.
