Obituary of Glenn Patrick Olson
OLSON,
Glenn
Age 64
Of Maplewood
Passed away suddenly on March
6th 2024. Survived by his son
Jason and daughter Alicia Olson;
his 4 grandchildren Kyle, Seth,
Alaina and Olivia Olson along
with many loving family and
friends.
Glenn loved fishing and hunting with his son every chance he got, playing horseshoes in the backyard and talking with his daughter, but his greatest joy has been being able to be a part of his grandchildren's life and watching them grow.
Over the past 2 years Glenn's health had declined but he never let that get in the way of spending time with his children and grandchildren. His daughter would visit with him every morning to help care for him and watch "oldies" on television and he was his son Jason's favorite "fishing buddy", he was even able to go ice fishing with him one last time in February.
Every year during the Ramsey county winter carnival Glenn and his children enjoyed deciphering the "medallion hunt" clues written in the paper. Glenn always made this event so very entertaining and fun for everyone.
Glenn loved to talk about his memories with friends and family and spent a lot of time listening to friends and family that liked to share theirs.
Glenn had many ups and downs in his life but he never gave up. He always tried to "live in the now" as he would say and he never once lost his great sense of humor or wittiness.
He will be greatly missed everyday by all, especially his children who grew to absolutely adore him.
A very special thank you to his brother Kris, his wife Angie and to Aaron for their kindness and acceptance of our father, we would not have been able to have such a great bond with him without it.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 16 at Kris and Angie's home where Glenn resided the past 6 yrs located at 2553 Flandrau St, Maplewood MN 55109 from 12-4 pm. There will be food and drinks provided. All we ask is anyone to come that has a memory to share of Glenn (with two N's)
