Obituary of Jeanne Elizabeth Smith

Age 91 Born August 12, 1922 Was welcomed into heaven January 29, 2014 by her father and mother, Dr. John and Marie Traxler of Henderson, MN and 5 sisters: Mary Lou (Sr. John Marie), Patricia Holtz, Peggy (Sr. Margaret Ellen), Kitty Jo, and Mary Slater Randall. She will be deeply missed by George her loving husband of 62 years, and their 5 children: Mark, Barbara Reis (Jack), Dan, Tom, and Phil; grandsons Connor and Cole; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was a longtime resident of Maplewood and member of Presentation of BVM Parish and devoted many hours performing volunteer work. Memories of her warm smile and kind spirit will fill the hearts of all who knew her. Memorial Mass Friday, March 14, 2014, 10:00 AM at CERENITY MARIAN CARE CENTER CHAPEL, 200 Earl St., St. Paul, with gathering one hour prior to Mass. Reception to follow. Private interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to Marian Care Center in appreciation for the kind and compassionate care she received these last few years.
