Obituary of Gordon W. Anderson

Beloved Husband, Dad & Grandpa March 19, 1918 ~ March 12, 2013 Preceded in death by mother Alvira; son Stephen; & brother Robert. Survived by devoted & much loved wife of 63 years, Mary; daughters Jean Anderson & Judy (Jim) Zielinski; grandchildren Stephen, Jennifer, Joseph, Jessica; nieces, nephews & cousins. Gordon served in the Navy in WWII, first worked at West Publishing & subsequently retired from Brown & Bigelow after 37 years. Gordon enjoyed dancing, bowling, golfing, gardening, fishing, wood carving, telling stories & participating in field trials with his black labradors. Funeral service Saturday (3/16) 11:00 AM at LAKEVIEW LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1194 E. County Road C, Maplewood, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
