Obituary of Arlene Helen Mogren

Devoted Mother, Grandmother & Aunt Born July 11, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN. Passed away peacefully August 16, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Mogren on March 12, 1946. They lived in Maplewood, MN where they raised 12 boys together. She selflessly dedicated her life to her family and rarely missed an activity. She hosted weekly Thursday night dinners for nearly 40 years where family and friends were always welcome. She was an avid Twins fan and prolific photographer, filling well over 200 photo albums chronicling the lives of her family and friends. She was a devoted Catholic with a strong faith and was a long standing member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Arlene was preceded in death by husband, Gerald, sons Gregory and Stephen, granddaughter Angela and sister Beverly. She is survived by sons; Tom (Judy), Bruce, (Sally), Keith (Colleen), Dennis, Jeff (Lori), Patrick (Denise), Scott, Peter (Lesli), Brian and Eric; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Brothers; David, Jerry and Michael. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, (August 22, 2012) 11:00 AM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 N. Margaret St., North St. Paul. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday at CHURCH OF ST. PETER from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to Mass. Memorials preferred to Side By Side Foundation; founded in honor of Jerry and Arlene's generous spirit.
