Obituary of Donald Baumann

Age 90 Of White Bear Lake Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2012. He was born January 25, 1922 in St. Paul to Reuben and Mae Baumann. He graduated from Wilson High School in St. Paul, attended the College of St. Thomas and was married to Eleanor Coleman on October 2, 1943. Together they raised 6 children. Don worked for Donaldson Co. in Bloomington, MN for almost 40 dedicated years before retiring in 1983. He also worked at Wal-mart as his part-time job after retirement. He enjoyed watercolor painting, gardening, the outdoors, music, and spending time with his family, especially his 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Eleanore; his children, Mark, Kathleen (Kat), Stephen, David and Susan; his brother Eugene; and his sister Elaine. He was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth and his brother David. Funeral services, arranged by Sandberg Mortuary of North St. Paul, will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Church of St. Jude of the Lake, 700 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi, MN 55115. Visitation will be held at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am and interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Mahtomedi, MN.
