Obituary of Patricia Bichsel Haniford

Date of Birth:Wednesday May 22, 1951 Date of Death:Saturday, November 30, 2013 Patricia Bichsel Haniford passed away peacefully in her sleep after a protracted struggle with diabetes. She was born in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville, Minnesota in 1969 and then earned a BA degree in Graphic Design. She served in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1977, after which she embarked on a successful career as a talented graphic artist, first as design specialist for Beauty Management and then as owner of her own company in Portland, Oregon, until 2011, when for health reasons she returned to Minnesota to be with her family. Pat will be best remembered as a dedicated mother to Max and a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She was warmhearted, generous, and unconditionally loved the people who were close to her. Pat loved life intensely and filled it with an incredible amount of impactful experiences that we were all able to enjoy with her. Everyone who was lucky enough to know her shared her passion for the outdoors, computers, art, movies, music, travel, and other activities that fulfilled her existence. She positively affected the lives of everyone she met as a caring and unselfish person who always had time for her family and friends. All of the good times we shared are cemented in our hearts forever. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Meany Bichsel. In addition to her son Max Haniford, she is survived by her father John Bichsel and six brothers and sisters: Georgiana Sauer (John), John Bichsel (Yvette Citizen), Rebecca Whittet (Robert), Cathy Bichsel, Teresa Menz, Robert Bichsel (Angel) and many loved extended family and friends. We will always love you and never forget you Pat. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, with visitation one hour prior at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th St. N, Oakdale, Minnesota, 55128. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
