Obituary of Helen Ida Gurnon

(nee Wildasin) Loved her Family & Teaching Born 9/21/1924 in North St. Paul and died 5/28/2012 in Maplewood. Preceded in death by son, James Michael. Survived by children William (Pat), Carole Javner (Ron), Emily, Ellen Brantley (Stuart); sister Doris Lideen; brother Charles (Julie); grandchildren Renee, Sarah, Tessa, Alex, Dan, Cody, Cassie, Luke, Shelby, Danny & April and 4 great-grandchildren. Helen graduated from North St. Paul High School and earned a teaching degree at Hamline University. She taught elementary school in North St. Paul/Maplewood/Oakdale for 15 years. She was a member at North Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, and served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, elder and deacon. Memorial Service Friday (6/1) at 1PM at NORTH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 2675 East Highway 36, North St. Paul. Visitation Thursday from 6:30-8PM and one hour before the service all at church. Memorials to North Presbyterian Church for music and education or donor's choice. Special thanks to all staff at Lakeview Commons for their dedication and care for Helen and all the family.
