Obituary of Leonard Martin Klein

Age 88 Of Maplewood Passed away peacefully in his Maplewood home surrounded by his loving family on March 25th. Len was born on July 18th, 1924 to Michael & Agnes Klein. A proud patriot he served in the US Army during WWII in the South Pacific & continued his service to our country as an active member of the VFW, DAV & American Legion. Len married the love of his life, Ione, on July 15th, 1944 & together they raised 3 children: Tim, Cindy & Laurie. Len was a Mail Carrier for the US Postal Service for 34 years & later enjoyed retirement with his family: wintering in Florida, camping, fishing, Wii bowling, & playing cards. His love & memory will forever live on in those he leaves behind: his beautiful wife of almost 69 years, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren & many other loved ones. Services will be held at Presentation, 1725 Kennard St., Maplewood on Monday, April 1st. Visitation at 10 with Services at 11. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery with full military honors. Luncheon to follow at the North St. Paul American Legion Post #39.
