Obituary of Eleanore A. Baumann

(nee Coleman) Age 90 of Maplewood Passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013. She was born April 28, 1923 in St. Paul to Carl and Esther Coleman. She graduated from Wilson High School in St. Paul, attended Hamline University and married Donald Baumann on October 2, 1943. Together they raised 6 children. Eleanore, a homemaker for many years, started up Mahtomedi Girl Scout Troop 151 and subsequently became a professional trainer and day camp organizer for the Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley in St. Paul, MN for 14 dedicated years. She retired in 1980. An exemplary seamstress, she also enjoyed reading, music, and spending time with her family, especially her 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her children: Mark, Kathleen (Kat), Stephen, David and Susan; her sister Mary and brother Jack. She was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth and her husband Donald. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at ST. JUDE OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 700 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi, MN 55115. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM at the church. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Mahtomedi, MN. Memorials preferred to the Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley, St. Paul MN.
