Obituary of Sister Monica Raway

Raway, OSB Sister Monica Age 95 of St. Paul’s Monastery Died on June 25, 2021. Having lived and ministered as a Benedictine Sister of St. Paul’s Monastery for nearly 67 years. Sister Monica served as a house sister at Assumption in Richfield, Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Bernard’s in St. Paul. She also served at the Archbishop’s residence in St. Paul. She then retired to the Monastery to serve in the kitchen and as a driver for sisters. Preceded by her parents Louis and Barbara (Eckart); brothers Aloysius and Francis; sisters JoAnn Kirch and Luella. Survived by nieces and nephews and her Benedictine Sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed on St. Paul’s Monastery Facebook page Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Due to the pandemic we are not able to accommodate guests. Interment at Monastery cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Paul’s Monastery.
