Obituary of Mary Leta Ness

Ness, Mary L. 

Age 62, of Maplewood, MN 

Passed away on Sept. 12, 2023. She was a graduate of North St. Paul High School, class of 1979. She worked at Century Link until her retirement. 

Besides spending time with family and friends, Mary had a passion for Disney, traveling, decorating, and caring for her dogs, Ruby and Buddy. Mary had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. One of her proudest moments in her life is when she went to Russia, to adopt her two children, Connor and Anna. Her zest for life, ability to truly listen, and genuine interest in people will be sorely missed.

Mary is preceded in death by parents, Vernon and Ruth Blanski. She is survived by her sister, Karen Poppa; children, Connor Ness and Anna Ness; grandchildren, Bentley, Avana, and Mila; nieces, Beret Stahl, and Katherine Poppa; nephews, John Poppa and Joseph Poppa; and great-nephew, Josh Klockow. 

Memorial and visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, from 9AM to 1PM at Sandberg Mortuary, 2593 E. 7th Ave., No. St. Paul, MN.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local animal rescue group.
