Wanetta “Nita” Ethel Kvaal

Beloved Mother and Grandma  

Born December 27, 1938, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Emil ‘Moose’; parents, Clifford and Alvina Fjelsted; brothers, Clifford and Darwin; and grandson, Adam Lambert. Survived by children, Denise Lambert, Kent (Marla), Randy (Mary) & Shari (Garry) Strating; grandchildren, Keith, Sophia, Garret, Sarah, and Christina; sister, Michelle VanVulpen; along with many other family members and a very long list of dear friends. Nita was raised in Colfax, WI and moved to North St. Paul to raise her family after marrying Moose on October 28, 1961. Nita, also referred to as ‘Needles’ and ‘Nita-bobita’, had a heart of gold and was loved by anyone who had the opportunity to know her. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, card club parties, dancing, crocheting, lake vacations and cooking. Visiting friends and relatives knew that they would leave her home with a tummy full of great meals/treats from our mom (and a beer or two from Moose…).  Special thanks to the Suite Living Memory Care staff and Brighton Hospice for taking such good care of ‘Nita-bobita’.  Service at 3, followed by a celebration of life on Friday, October 13 at the North St. Paul Legion, 2678 7th Ave E, North St. Paul, MN 55109 (651) 777-3708
