Obituary of Kay Frances Weber

Kay Weber, age 84, of Oakdale, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, October 21 from a long battle with Alzheimer's which was complicated by an underlying unknown heart condition. 

Kay was born on June 10, 1939, to Fred and Lillian Elofson in Wheaton, Minnesota. After graduating from Wheaton High School in 1957, she went on to study at the University of Minnesota.  Kay was a beacon of love, kindness, and grace. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her warm smile and compassionate heart. Her enduring love and unwavering support were the cornerstones of our family, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

She was a dedicated mother to her 5 children.  She loved taking care of and supporting her children and grandchildren.  She loved baking, playing the piano and spending time with family and friends.  She did everything with a sense of joy and purpose that inspired all around her.

Kay was not only a dedicated family woman but also an active member of her community. She is the founder of Grandma’s Coats For Kids which continues to provide coats to children in the North St Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale School District.  Kay loved tending to her beautiful gardens and was an active member of the North St Paul Green group.  She was also a dedicated entrepreneur who successfully owned and operated her own business for many years in North St Paul.

Kay was preceded in death by her father, Fred Elofson, her mother, Lillian Elofson, sisters Joyce and Bette and son in law Mike Kenneally.  She is survived by her 5 children, Wendy Kenneally, Pam Weber, William Weber (Sue), Steve Weber (Christina), and Scott Weber (Tricia), her seven grandchildren, Nicole, Kirk, Billy, Cheyenne, Megan, Brittany, and Natalie and one great grandchild, Bryce, and her brother Jeff Elofson.

Memorials may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Foundation, MN Chapter. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31st, at the Church of St. Peter, 2600 Margaret St N, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and the service commencing at 11:00 AM.
