Obituary of Catherine Louise Perron

Catherine Perron (nee Saulsbury), also known as Cathy or Cap, was born October 4, 1937 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 18, 2023, at the age of 86 in St. Paul, MN. She is survived by her daughter Sandy (Mike), Grandchildren Kelsa, Kyler, greatgrandchildren Gabriel, Artorius, Brothers Vic Sorenson (Diane), Jim Saulsbury, Kim Saulsbury (Terry), Sisters Deb Arneson (Paul), LuAnn Obraske (Mike), Laurie Harvison (Brian) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Catherine was predeceased by her birth parents Victor Sorenson, Gertrude Janke, Stepfather Harold Janke, Parents Lucille Saulsbury, Ervin Saulsbury, Stepmother Ruth Saulsbury.  Brothers David Zell, Gerald Sorenson and sister Nancy Neumann. 

Catherine was born in Appleton, MN and moved to North St. Paul.   She graduated from North High School, and worked at Brown and Bigelow before pursuing a career in healthcare. She began as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and then went back to school to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and spent the majority of her career at HealthEast hospitals. Her commitment to helping others was evident in her work and in all her volunteering.  

She was very good with knitting and crocheting, giving her projects as gifts, or selling in local craft shows.  She enjoyed reading, music, spending time outside, camping, fishing, and feeding the birds. Catherine was a devout Catholic with a special devotion to Mary, and her faith was obvious in how she lived her life.

A wake and funeral service will be held to honor Catherine's life. The wake will be at Sandbergs Funeral Home in North St. Paul 3-5pm on December 28th.  A mass of Christian burial will be held at St Joseph’s Church in West St. Paul at 11am on December 29th with visitation one hour prior.
