Obituary of Mary Lou Mechelke

Mary Lou Mechelke age 93, of North St. Paul passed away at home on December 27th surrounded by family. Preceded in death by loving husband Rene, she is survived by her children; Judy Redlund (Michael) and Patti Ascherman, Grandchildren; Jason Dreis (Karah), Matthew Dreis (Jennifer), Sara Ascherman, Kristina Pettis, and Angela Redlund Spieker (Pat), Great-Grandchildren; Leo, London, Sasha, Roman, Jack, Isabella, and Gabrielle.  

A special thank you to the hospice nurses and aides. Our Mom was loving, devoted to family, and always eager to learn new things. She and Rene enjoyed dancing at the Moose Lodge as well as special trips to Birch Bay Lodge in Outing MN. She will be deeply missed. 

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11Am at Hazel Park Congregational Church. 1831 Minnehaha Avenue East, St. Paul. Followed by a service with internment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with luncheon at American Legion in North St. Paul. Memorials preferred.
