Obituary of Larry R Myking

Larry was born March 10, 1942 in Cloquet, Minnesota, the son of Lawrence Myking and Georgia Young Myking. Larry was a graduate of Cloquet High School and the University of Minnesota, Duluth where he graduated with an Accounting Degree. After working as an accountant, Larry enlisted in the Marines, piloting helicopters in Vietnam. During his service he earned the rank of Captain and 35 medals for exceptional bravery in medivac and rescue missions. After teaching in the Pensacola, FL flight school and piloting for Northwest Airlines, Larry worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Aeronautics Division where he eventually retired in 2017 after 36 continuous years of service. In retirement he continued to enjoy all the things he loved like travel, photography, hunting and wood carving. Wherever he was and whatever he was doing, Larry was happiest with his loyal dog by his side.
