Obituary of Virginia Ann Fuhrmann

Fuhrmann, Virginia (Ginny)
left us at age 85 on Jan. 13, 2024.  Preceded in death by her parents, Oswald and Rose, brother Gerald and his wife Anna, nephew Michael and brother-in-law Jim.  Survived by brother Ralph (Marge), sister Bernice, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was born in St. Paul, MN but moved to Colorado in 1976 and worked there at the Department of Defense as a finance and accounting technician until her retirement.
Ginny had sewed, knitted, and she and her sister liked dancing at the Prom Ballroom when they were young.   She loved dogs and had some as pets.  She loved driving her cars, biking, traveling and flying.  She went on some trips with her friend Dean and was on a golf league. When her relatives came out to Colorado to visit her and her parents, she took them to the Rocky Mountains, Vail, Roxborough State Park, Cherry Creek Reservoir, Celestial Seasonings in Boulder, shopping, etc. and introduced them to Souper Salad, Sweet Tomatoes and Golden Corral.
She eventually moved back to Minnesota and settled in Maplewood and went out to meet up with her high school friends at OLP luncheons and some with the CCW group at St. Peters Church, and spent time with her family.  She liked to read books, newspapers and watch the news.
Thanks go out to the wonderful Ecumen Seasons Maplewood memory care staff and hospice for their tender care and friendly faces.  Ginny and her friends at Ecumen loved the guitar playing preacher chaplain  that was there during covid and playing bingo.  Thanks also for Julie, Rita & Ken’s special help with Ginny.
Visitation at St. Peters Catholic Church in North St. Paul on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024 from 10-11.  Mass at 11 am with luncheon following.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights after luncheon.  St. Peters Church is at 2600 Margaret St. N.  Big parking lot on east side of church. 494/694 north to west 36 and north on Margaret St. exit for a few blocks.
