Obituary of Timothy Lloyd Walters

Timothy Lloyd Walters, 72, husband, father, grandfather, passed away peacefully February 9, 2024. He was born April 10, 1951 to Russel and Nellie Walters in Ashland, Wisconsin.

In his youth he enjoyed weightlifting. Another unending passion Tim had starting at a young age was studying all aspects of art, taking a special interest in painting oil on canvas. He would spend hours reading books on the subject and had a wonderful collection of tools and supplies to create his own art. Another interest he would share with anyone wanting to listen was astronomy. He owned no less than 3 telescopes and a pair of binoculars with special lenses to look at the sun.

in 1969, just after high school graduation Tim moved to MN and started working for Horner Waldorf where he worked 45 years. In those years he married Bonnie Riedell of Rice Lake, WI, had two children and eventually three grandchildren.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents; brother Russel; and sister, Sharon Rowell.

He is survived by wife, Bonnie; son, Eric Walters of Forest Lake; daughter Jennifer (Steve) Braun of Cottage Grove; grandchildren; Eliza Walters, Kevin, and Jason Braun; brothers, Randy Walters of Rice Lake; Rick (Andi) Walters of Eau Claire, Ron (Susan) Walters of Bancroft; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
